I love beef tallow moisturizers and this Elara Beef Tallow did not disappoint. I really like the soft lavender scent which was not overpowering at all. Since this moisturizer contains Sweet Almond Oil, I have found that this tallow has a much more oily or greasy feel to it than tallow products without this ingredient. Due to this, I use this moisturizer on my elbows, knees, feet, hands and chest areas before I go to bed. Elara tallow does a great overnight job of keeping those notoriously dry body parts nice and moisturized! I love that this tallow is whipped as it makes it easier to get out of the jar and apply to your skin. I will say that I was happy to see that the jar was sealed upon arrival, as once I removed the seal there was product that had leaked out. If you want a nice body tallow, this is your go-to.
This is whipped, and it’s white and fluffy and smells great. I’d never know it’s a beef tallow moisturizer other than the label says so. It absorbs well, doesn’t feel greasy, and remarkably, doesn’t gross me out. I haven’t eaten beef for a lot of years. But I’d heard that beef tallow moisturizers were amazing, so I decided to give one a try. I may never go back to moisturizers that are a list of a whole bunch of chemicals that are a struggle to pronounce. My skin feels soft and hydrated, with neither a greasy or a waxy after-feel. I especially like using it before bed for the lavender scent, which is gentle and soothing.
I'm always trying different moisturizers. I haven't tried beef tallow before, but I'll be using it from now on. When I first opened it, I was a little leery because the consistency is a little different than other moisturizers, and there was oil on top. I mixed it a little and then put some on my elbows. One application and they're actually soft! It's been years since my elbows have been this soft. It works well on other parts of my body as well, but the elbows really got me. I don't plan on trying it on my face, however, because my face is already oily in spots. This is definitely worth the listed price.
The Elara Beef Tallow for Skin makes my skin look and feel great.It shipped okay with minimal packaging and no weird smells. There was a seal to be broken before use. Do note the entire container was greasy/slippery.The packaging and information card is informative on how to keep the the whipped tallow balm at its best for application. It states that it can soften and be restored for 1-2 hours in the refrigerator.The consistency is thick and the texture is soft, smooth, and greasy. The consistency is a very slippery creaminess. It is more on the greasy side, so it is best to be cautious in using a small amount and working one's way up to get the amount needed per skin area.I like that it has virtually no fragrance, as I am particularly sensitive to such.I have used it on my hands, feet, face, and other parts of my body. I typically get really dry elbows, knees, and feet during the Summertime and this product is helping my skin stay soft. Note I prefer putting this on at nighttime since it take a bit of time to fully absorb into the skin as the consistency is pretty greasy.The quality and effectiveness is top notch!Recommended!
Elara's 1005 natural face and body moisturizer is a rather heavy moisturizer, made for dry or aging skin. Being a woman of a certain age, I am always looking for something to help my skin weather the march of time. Even during hot weather, I was certainly glad for the extra moisturizing action. It left my skin feeling very soft, without the expected greasiness that tallow can have. This is a high-quality moisturizer, and the price is in line with most department stores or big-box stores.The addition of lavender essential oil gives added soothing for the skin and a pleasant scent that isn't overwhelming. So far I am very pleased with this product.
